Jennie Dykens

Jennie has been developing web sites since 1994 and has over 18 years of communications and account management experience. Her primary development role is to profile a project's user base, define task management workflows, craft information architecture and optimize copy that inspires and motivates users to act now and walk with a favorable experience.

Since moving to Maine in 2000, Jennie has produced, and devised usability schemes and information architecture for numerous web sites including ones for the Maine Forest Service (Be Woods Wise), Mercy Hospital, Oakhurst Dairy, Down East Woodcrafters, Amato's Sandwich Shops, The Portland Regency Hotel, the VNA, Guardian Home Health, Dayken Pallet Company, Area Agency on Aging, Elder Independence of Maine, Dielectric (Warren G-V), Maine State Bar Association, Maine Assessment Portfolio, Maine Mathematics & Science Alliance, Kennebec County Sheriff's Office, Chalmers Realty, Lang's Fishing Tackle Auctions, Gabriel Electronics, Seniors Plus, and Valcom.

Jennie began producing sites in San Francisco where she headed the web facet of a media design agency, Montara Creative Group. There she produced many web sites including ones for Dun & Bradsteet, The San Francisco Art Institute, the IATSE and Live Capital (developers of an on-line, real-time credit risk assessment engine used by D&B, Experian, Fair, Isaac and Company, Equifax, ...).

While in San Francisco she participated extensively in the Multimedia Studies Program at San Francisco State University, studied Account Planning at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Account Management at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Jennie earned her B.A. in public relations from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
